Waiting Room 7th December - 13th December 2009
Waiting Room is a rotating exhibition that will last seven days. Each day a new young artist will have the opportunity to showcase their
work to the public in the unique setting of a train station platform. Waiting room offers commuters the opportunity to enrich their journey
to work by providing them with a cultural experience everyday without having to change there daily routine or journey. Waiting room not
only provides entertainment whilst waiting for a train, but a unique experience with a new exhibition everyday of the week.
Passengers are invited to use the opportunity to wait for their train in a warm welcoming environment in one of London’s most unusual
gallery spaces. If that is not enough to tempt one in, then perhaps a free cup of tea and up to date information about local shops and
services might be of interest. All artwork will be available to purchase and each artist will be on hand at the allocated date of their
showing times to answer all your questions about the show(s). It is not all work at Platform 1 though - if you live in the area you may be
interested in attending one of the seven evening viewings for each artist. This will be an opportunity for further free refreshments and a
chance to meet with new people including artists, art lovers and local residents.
Monday to Sunday Opening Hours 7am-10am then 4pm-6pm / private view each night 7pm-9pm.
