How I Got Interested In North Korea's Dear Leader.

The fact that North Korea's leading iconic figure could in fact simply be a 'body double' fascinated me.
These photos provided a greater motivation to delve into Kim Jong Il and his North Korean set up further. These two reports from September and November 2008 prompted an in depth investigation into all things Kim and spawned a plethora of work.
I became increasingly bewildered by the facts and fictions of Kim - with a multitude of reports and stories surrounding him, it is difficult to determine what is fact and what is fiction. This aspect is probably the most intriguing - when taking into account any written information based on Kim Jong Il, one can never be sure whether to believe or to doubt it.

my little piggy cried all the way home because it would not stop bleeding.
I cut my little toe right open on the casing of an external CD drive. I have a thing about toes and fingers and flaps of skin. I was consequently sick, shivery and whiny. The next day I had to walk around a lot - what I thought was sweat, was actually a nice pool of blood in my left shoe. I never realised how effing annoying it is cutting THAT toe - it grates against everything.
